Personal Data Protection Information in the "Call-to-Action" Petition
By signing the "Call-to-Action" petition, you consent to the processing of your personal data by the Permanent Secretariat of the Community of Democracies (PSCD) in the context of the "Ready for a Seat" campaign. This data processing includes:
• Collecting and processing your name, affiliation, country, and email address.
• Using your data to support advocacy efforts aimed at including youth political participation in the upcoming U.N. Human Rights Council resolution.
• Sharing updates and engaging with stakeholders related to the petition.
Data sharing and recipients
Your personal data will be shared only with authorized individuals and organizations directly involved in the "Call-to-Action" petition, including but not limited to:
• CoD YouthLeads
• Relevant UN Human Rights Council members
• Partner civil society organizations
Your data will not be transferred to third parties without your explicit consent unless legally required.
Data processing standards
Your personal data are processed by the Permanent Secretariat of the Community of Democracies (PSCD) in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), further referred to as the GDPR.
The PSCD aims at implementing data protection fully in line with the standards set out in the above-mentioned legislative framework using flexible privacy friendly tools with appropriate measures achieving compliance.
Rules of processing personal data
These rules provide a legal framework and ensure that your data are:
• processed fairly, lawfully and in a transparent manner
• collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed for any incompatible purpose
• adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary
• accurate and kept up to date enabling inaccurate or incomplete data to be corrected or erased
• kept for no longer than necessary
• processed securely including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures
not transferred to third parties without adequate safeguards
• processed in a way that you can exercise your rights as a data subject
You have the right, free of charge:
• to
be informed of any processing of your personal data:
o who is in charge of the data processing
o what the purpose and the legal bases are
o what type of data are being processed
o who has access to the collected data
o how long it is kept
o what logic is used in any automated decision-making process concerning your data
• to
access your data;
• to
correct (rectify) them when inaccurate or incomplete;
• to have your
data erased in certain circumstances (such as when the processing is unlawful or the data is inaccurate), their processing
restricted (for example while they are rectified or when a dispute about the lawfulness is to be decided) and to
object to the processing of your personal data based on your specific circumstances.

You may lodge a complaint at any time with the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland, as the competent organ for the seat of the PSCD: https://uodo.gov.pl/en/559/941
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Data retention period
Your data will be retained until the conclusion of the "Ready for a Seat" campaign on September 30, 2024. After this date, your personal data will be securely deleted unless you provide consent for further retention for future engagements.
